Training Programs with Barista Champions

Brewing exquisite coffee requires care, precision, focus, and knowledge, as well as a real desire to excel. Just as a great chef doesn't attain that mastery overnight, it takes an enormous amount of training and dedication to develop coffee preparation skills. Ecco takes its training mission very seriously and utilizes the talent of both US and International barista champions to instruct your staff. The fact that these skilled artisans fare so well in competitions speaks to both their phenomenal love of coffee and their superior communication skills. Whether espresso or brewed coffee, Ecco's educators want everyone to understand the importance of making a great cup and to possess the skills to get there. We offer an approachable and comprehensive training program that will take your staff from beginner to expert. You might not require your baristas to become international champions, but their ability to make your coffee is vital to your success.

Does Great Seasonal Coffee Make Sense For You?

Coffee is an agricultural product, and like all fruits and vegetables, it has a time when it is in season. Ecco Caffe is committed to offering coffees when they are fresh from harvest and at the peak of their flavor. In the November 16th edition of the New York Times, Jonathan Rubinstein, the owner of Joe and an Ecco customer, discussed our seasonal approach to coffee. "Seasonality is such a new idea in coffee. You're not going to go to the farmers' market to get an apple in spring, or if there is one it's been stored for a long time. Now we're not going to have a Panamanian coffee except for when it's in season. To think of coffee in those same terms is really cool. It digs into a whole new layer."
